Illustration for Performance

Throughout her career as a set and costume designer Sue has used illustration as a tool of her practice, creating the often unseen designs for performance with detailed costume drawings and cloth designs which are recreated twenty five times larger by scenic artists. Here is a selection of drawings and scale models for numerous productions which were used as a visual communication tool.

Sue enjoys using a variety of different medium in her work particularly water colour with pen and ink and collage.
